The nQuery upgrade for the 2019-2020 license year is not compatible with older versions. Your files will need to be converted before the license renewal 30-Sep-2019.

Files from nQuery v4.0 are *NOT* compatible with the new nQuery Advanced v8.4.1.0. If you have files in nQuery v4.0 you will need to follow the directions below to convert them for use in nQuery Advanced v8.4.1.0. Last year the upgraded nQuery Advanced was released and given to users alongside the existing version nQuery v4.0 to facilitate these file conversions. We will send all users an email when the renewal license is available in August/September.

  • nQuery v4.0 will not be renewed for the 2019-2020 license year.
  • Only nQuery Advanced v8.4.1.0 will be available after 30-Sep-2019.
  • You will need to convert all of your files before 30-Sep-2019.

How To Convert Your Files:

Users may experience a compatibility issue whereby tables created and saved in older versions will not open in nQuery Advanced. This is caused by the fact that the new technology cannot recognize the legacy file types (*.nqa files). The updated interface and layout, as well as the additional capabilities in nQuery Advanced, mean that older file types cannot be translated automatically for use in the newest iteration of the product. Both versions of nQuery can be active simultaneously so this will allow you to easily copy over your data.

Should you need to access tables saved in previous versions of nQuery, simply:

  1. Have both versions of nQuery v4.0 and nQuery Advanced open.
  2. Open your table in nQuery v4.0.
  3. Copy the data from your table in nQuery v4.0 into a new table in nQuery Advanced.

Information on what’s new in the latest release of nQuery Advanced is available here: https://www.statsols.com/whats-new.

nTerim Tables

nTerim is no longer a separate application installed with nQuery. All the nTerim features, except for randomization, have been merged into nQuery Advanced 8.4.1.0. However, nTerim files cannot be opened with nQuery Advanced and they cannot be converted.
