If your report searches a large number of records or needs to use complex logic consider a clarity request.  Each night information from Epic is exported to a database called Clarity. You can have reports run from a Clarity database using the same information in Epic although it’s only current up to a certain day. If there is something you are tracking on a weekly or monthly basis you could use a Clarity report to do that. Clarity is often used for research if you want to go back through years of data to see trends in the patient population.

This is a generic data request page used by the entire hospital. To make sure the request gets routed to the correct team (and doesn’t end up with IS or the Anderson Center or any other team that provides data), he/she should list as many details as possible, like the REDCap project name, the location where the data lives in Epic, and any other relevant details.
