REDCap has options for multi-lingual teams.  This area of REDCap is regularly having function/translation added to it, so contact your administrator if you have REDCap language needs.

Consider:

  1. REDCap user interface can change the project settings to present in different languages.  This will change the language presentation of some (not all) REDCap items for users logged into REDCap.
  2. REDCap Survey respondent language presentation is controlled by the REDCap project developer.
    1. There are some External Modules that will help present the REDCap Survey UI  or Variable in the desired language.  See the list below for helpful information:
      1. The Multilingual External Module allows surveys and data entry forms to be translated into multiple languages.  You must set up the module and language choices first, then build your instruments.
        1. Here is a link to the documentation for this external module:  https://redcap.research.cchmc.org/external_modules/?prefix=multilingual&page=README.md
      2. The External Module Survey UI Tweaks will be your friend for studies that need parts of REDCap translated for the participant.   This EM provides the ability to apply changes to the functioning parts of REDCap’s presentation.
        1. This module runs after a page is opened and before it is presented to the participant.  It will change the presentation of REDCap, but not the data collection function.
        2. These changes can be survey specific or global.
        3. For example, you can change the word “submit” to a new word.
