List Types:

  • Outlook Distribution Lists

This list allows all members to send email to all other members, who one another. All members must all have CCHMC.org email addresses to be part of the list. Changes to list membership must be done by the CCHMC service desk.

  • Mailman Lists

This list is for when some recipients do not have a @cchmc.org email address. You can choose whether members have the ability to reply to all the members on the list and if those messages need to be moderatedservice can serve both cchmc and non CCHMC members. A list manager must be designated and will be given access to a management portal where they can add/remove/modify members and list behaviors. If you've decided that you need a Mailman list please email help@bmi.cchmc.org.  ***** Note Research IT creates the list, but a CCHMC resource must be designated as the administrator to perform all administrative list functions. Also, archiving is not implemented on the Mailman system or supported. Those messages will be kept on the recipient's email client per their organization's archiving guidelines.
